Healthcare SEO for Medical Practices
When a patient searches for a procedure near them, Google shows a map with a few practices, then a list of websites. Healthcare SEO is the work that puts your practice in both places, and makes the page they land on worth calling about. We do that work every month for surgical and specialist practices, and we show you exactly what we did.
Two Places Patients Look, and Why Both Matter
Most practice owners think of SEO as “ranking the website”. For a local practice, that’s only half of it. The map results come from your Google Business Profile, not your website. The website results come from your pages. A patient often sees your profile first, checks your reviews, then clicks through to your site to see whether you do the procedure they need.
If the profile is thin, you don’t make the shortlist. If the website doesn’t have a clear page for the procedure, the patient goes back to the map. So we work on both together, every month.
What We Do Each Month
Six pieces of work, done together, every month.
- Google Business Profile: correct categories and services, real photos, regular posts, answers to common questions, and replies to reviews in a voice you approve
- Procedure and location pages: one clear page for each procedure you want more of, written for patients and reviewed by your provider before it goes live
- Technical health: page speed, mobile layout, indexing, broken links, and structured data that tells Google who your providers are and what you treat
- Reviews: a simple request process for your front desk, with no incentives, no filtering out unhappy patients, and nothing that conflicts with the FTC's rules on reviews
- Listings: your practice name, address and phone number kept consistent across the directories patients and Google check
- Links: earned through local and medical relationships, never bought
How the First 90 Days Run
- Days 1–30: audit and fixes. We review your profile, website, reviews and listings, fix what’s broken, and agree the procedures to focus on.
- Days 31–60: pages and reviews. The first procedure pages go live, and the review request process starts at your front desk.
- Days 61–90: build and review. More pages, listing clean-up and early link work, then a review call to decide what comes next.
What Your Monthly Report Shows
| In the report | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Calls and form enquiries from Google search and Maps | The number that pays for the work |
| Google Business Profile actions: calls, direction requests, website clicks | Shows whether the map listing is doing its job |
| Where you rank for your chosen procedures in your area | Tracks progress before enquiries pick up |
| Pages added or changed, and why | You see exactly what you paid for |
| Next month’s plan | No surprises |
What We Won’t Do
We won’t promise a ranking position, because Google decides rankings. We won’t buy or write reviews, stuff keywords into your profile name, use patient information, or copy content from other sites. Each of those can get a profile suspended or a practice into trouble, and none of them lasts.

Healthcare SEO Questions
There’s no fixed timeline. Profile and technical fixes can show up within weeks; procedure pages usually take longer to settle in. It depends on how competitive your area and specialty are. We review progress with you at 30, 60 and 90 days.
Yes, as a manager. You keep ownership of both, and you can remove our access at any time.
Yes. We research and write each page, and your provider reviews it for clinical accuracy before it goes live.
Ads put you at the top of results today, for as long as you pay. SEO builds visibility that keeps working without paying per click, but takes longer. Many practices use both: ads while SEO builds. See Google Ads for practices.
It depends on your market and how many procedures and locations you want to cover. After the Discovery Session we send a written proposal with the scope and monthly fee.
