Dental Practice Marketing

Most new dental patients start with a search: “dentist near me”, “emergency dentist”, “dental implants” plus a town. We help US dental practices show up for those searches, turn them into booked appointments, and keep every ad, review and web page within state dental board, FTC and HIPAA rules.

Dental Marketing Has Its Own Rules

Dental advertising is regulated state by state, and the details vary. Many state dental boards restrict who can call themselves a “specialist”: in Oregon, for example, a general dentist advertising specialty services must clearly say they are a general dentist (OAR 818-015-0007), and New Jersey sets disclosure rules for specialty claims and advertised discounts. On top of that, the FTC’s 2024 rule on reviews applies to every practice, and HIPAA governs how you use patient photos and reply to reviews. We check every ad and page against the rules for your state before it goes live.

What We Set Up and Run

Six parts, run together and reviewed every month.

How the First 90 Days Run

  1. Days 1–30: audit and fix the basics. Google profiles, website speed and booking path, tracking, and a check of your current ads and pages against your state’s rules.
  2. Days 31–60: procedure pages and ads. Pages for your priority treatments, then focused Google Ads campaigns pointing to them.
  3. Days 61–90: grow what works. Shift budget and effort toward the treatments and locations that bring booked appointments, and review the plan with you.

What Your Monthly Report Shows

In the reportWhy it matters
New patient calls and booking requests by sourceWhat actually fills the chair
Google Maps and search visibility by locationWhere patients find you
Ad spend and cost per booking request, by treatmentWhere the budget works
New reviews and average rating by locationWhat patients see first
Changes made and next month’s planNo surprises

Patient Photos, Testimonials and Reviews

Smile photos and patient stories can be powerful, but they’re protected health information. We only use them with a written HIPAA authorization from the patient, and we check your state board’s rules on testimonials and before-and-after images first. Review requests go to every patient, never just the happy ones, and replies never confirm someone is a patient or mention their care. Our reviews and reputation service covers this in detail.

What We Won’t Do

We won’t call a general dentist a “specialist” where your state doesn’t allow it, advertise discounts without the disclosures your state requires, buy or filter reviews, or promise a number of new patients. Your Google profile, ad account, website and domain stay in your name.

Our team works from Kolkata, India. Day-to-day communication is by email, and calls are booked at a time that suits you. More about how we work with US practices.

Dental Marketing Questions

Can a general dentist advertise implants or orthodontics?

Usually yes, but many states restrict the word “specialist” and some require a clear disclosure that you are a general dentist. We check your state board’s rules before writing any ad or page.

Is Google Ads worth it for a dental practice?

It can be, for high-value and urgent treatments such as implants and emergency visits, when campaigns are tightly focused and tracked to booked appointments rather than clicks.

Can we use before-and-after smile photos?

Only with a written HIPAA authorization from the patient, and only where your state board’s rules allow. We handle the authorization process and keep records.

How do we get more Google reviews?

Ask every patient, soon after their visit, with a direct link and no incentive. Offering rewards or asking only happy patients breaks Google’s policies and can fall foul of the FTC rule.

We have more than one location. How do you handle that?

Each location gets its own Google Business Profile and location page, and reporting is split by location so you can see where patients come from.
